Let me tell you a story. The story of a typical student in a Moroccan university. She wakes up at 6:30 in the morning, with dark circles under her eyes and a hatred for the educational system. While washing her face and brushing her teeth, she thinks about how curious she is, how much she loves learning but hates studying (“For fuck’s sake, studying is the worst! Or should I say worse?” See, she even forgets basic English grammar. Fuck school!). She looks at herself in the mirror and wishes she could go to school in her pajamas; but nuh-uh, this is Morocco we’re talking about, a country where you better be good looking, because nearly no one gives a flying fuck about your brains. |
